Sedan variants of the 2020 Mercedes-Benz C-Class received a four-star rating from the NHTSA’s front crash and rollover categories (out of five stars).
The base C300 uses a 2.0-liter turbo-four with 255 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque. Moving up to the AMG C43 gets you a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 with 385 hp and 384 lb-ft. At the top of the range is the AMG C63, which is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 with 469 hp and 479 lb-ft in standard guise or 503 hp and 516 lb-ft in the S model. A nine-speed automatic is the only transmission offered on the C-Class.
